Quiz Books for Kids: Picture GK Quiz eBooks (Ages 6–12)
A good quiz book for kids asks a question, lets the child commit to an answer, and shows the right one straight after. The Fun Sapienza's picture quiz eBooks work exactly that way: a question with pictures and a choice on one page, the answer ticked on the next. They cover birds, the Summer Olympics and the lines on a globe, for children aged about 6–12, and are read online on any phone, tablet or laptop.

Why do quiz books work for kids?
Trying to answer before seeing the answer, which researchers call active recall or retrieval practice, is one of the better-studied ways to make a fact stick. A quiz book builds that into every page: your child makes a choice, then turns the page to check it, so a wrong guess is corrected straight away rather than remembered.
Pictures help too. A younger reader can reason from a photo, a flag or a map before the words are easy, and older children notice details they would skim past in a paragraph. None of this is magic: a quiz book works when it is short enough to finish and on a subject your child already cares about.

How do I use a quiz book at home?
Ten minutes a day
A few questions most days does more than a long session once a week. Stop while your child still wants another page.
Read aloud for younger children
Under about seven, read the question and the choices aloud and let your child point to an answer before you turn the page together.
Family quiz night
Take turns being quizmaster, read one question each and keep score loosely. The point is the conversation the answers start.
Keep a facts notebook
After each session, your child writes or draws the one fact that surprised them most. A month later it is their own book.
Pair a map book with a globe
With a geography quiz book, keep a globe or an atlas nearby so your child can find each line and place for real.
Let your child quiz you
Swap roles. Asking the questions makes a child read carefully, and explaining why your answer was wrong makes the fact stick.
